How long will an engine timing chain last?

My engine has a timing chain instead of a timing belt. I know a timing belt should get changed every 60-80k miles. How long will a timing CHAIN last for in an engine? I guess it will be a longer interval but what is a safe estimate? I have heard 100k miles to 150k miles. 2002 Chrysler Concorde 89000 miles, thanks mikeHow long will an engine timing chain last?
It should last the life of the engine provided you have

maintained your vehicle properly.

You've got a long way to go....

Most chains will last forever. Maybe they stretch out a little bit. Biggest problem with chains now is all the plastic that they put inside for guides and tensioners. Not sure what scheduled maintenance would be for that but just pay attention if it ever makes weird noises that could be a sign that guides have gone bad.How long will an engine timing chain last?
The life of a timing chain will last along time if, you don't rev the engine too high when cold . A timing chain will stretch the first time you start it up.Very little though. As time goes on it will stretch more and more. The less abuse the longer it will last. You could be right about 100,000 milesHow long will an engine timing chain last?
Hey if you maintain your vehicle good and drive it after heating a cold engine for two minutes then its gonna last a life time if inside a care or will break after nearly twelve years. Well keep it in good share and regularly take the ride to a garage and get it serviced and there will be no trouble. How long will an engine timing chain last?
All the other posts are correct... but the bottom line is provided you take care of the car.. dont hot rod it and i'd bet the original chain is still on there when you go to sell it someday
