What is the proper routing for a timing chain (or cam chain) for my '86 Kawasaki KLR250?

I've looked around and can't find anything on the net. Specifically - The chain now is too loose and the tensioner won't even make it tight. (which it should put tension on the chain) I had the head off for repair and didn't take close enough attention to the cam chain routing. There is a pulley in the side of the head that is for the timing chain to run against... I don't know if the back side of the chain runs under and over the pulley or the inside part of the chain runs over the pulley... It's kind of hard to get at to change and I was wondering if someone knows this model well enough to tell me how it goes. -Thanks-What is the proper routing for a timing chain (or cam chain) for my %26039;86 Kawasaki KLR250?
which ever way you get tightest fit it only has two ways right or wrong . lining up of the gears shoud be a big concern
