I have a 1984 Caprice classic 4bbl carb 305. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some carb question?

I know that carbs have several different screws that you can adjust to change the proformance of the car. I was wondering if someone could tell me or have some pics of the locations of all the adjustable screws and how they affect proformance. I am asking this question because my carb does not seem to be opening up correctly at higher speeds or when going up hill unless i punch the gas it will not open. And there is alot of hesistations. when i first got the car as i drove the car up hill and down hill i could hear the secondary opening up and closing depending on the incline thats without me taking my foot off the gas it no longer does that. i didn't know if it was possible to adjust torque or accelerated idle or float to allow the carb to open more freely like when i first go the car. I have replaced the fuel pump and timing chain and had the carb rebuild. it is just not proforming well. Just need to know if there is adjustments i can me to help the carb run better.I have a 1984 Caprice classic 4bbl carb 305. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some carb question?
Start by checking for vacuum leaks, eyeball all the hose connections to the carb., looking for cracks and wear. If you find that hoses are in bad shape replace them and try again. Also you may be running to lean but start with the hoses. Let me know and we'll go from there. If you have a holley carb check the web site below. It is also a good site even if you don't have a holley, be patient and read the site great information.
